lol the April Fools thing was sorta funny.

I like the screenshot, especially the power-running bar at the top. It makes me want to play Super Mario Bros. 3 again.

I'm using the same flight mechanics as SMB3. I tried using SMW flight but there just isn't enough room to fly like that.

Give him some sort of shell spin attack when you slide (press down while running)

the first game wasn't without its flaws, but the basics were there. cant wait : )

you know those which guards peach erhm you maybe haven't played it but they are like armored koopas with horns all over them.

I don't quite understand. But yeah I played that game. I've already got a spiked Koopa in there. I went with the Spiney look, it's more retro that way.

There will be some new enemies along with the old. Everyone but Mario is dead now though. The P thing is the flight guage, you can fly now, hurray!

If you're refering to the alpha, don't worry. I started over from scratch.

make a "spike shell" kinda like the one in mariokart. its properties can be invinciblity just like the "star" in normal mario games.

another power up (this one would take alot of time to program but) you know how the koopa empire has great mechanics well you could make a "metal yoshi" or "mechayoshi" or "darkyoshi". and with the metal yoshi he has a cannon in his mouth. you could kinda make a whole level around it (give it the feel of metalslug even).

two headed koopa. when you die or get hit by a fatal attack it serves as an extra life. (one head dies the other continues)

give him a sports outfit. he can throw boomarangs

give him a hardcore BSDM Bondage outfit he uses a wip

get the mushrooms from normal mario games but they shrink him instead of making him big.

give him red hair and a deep voice then have "never gonna give you up" play in the background and all the enemies on field fall to sleep for a short time.

shoop da woop

make a whole water level and give him ice powers were he can freeze water and make platforms.

i could go on but dinner is ready.

At last it is going to come out sometime! I have some idea's for you.
1) In super mario bros 3 in dark land their where tank levels, maybe you should put in mushroom kingdom tanks or let koopa drive a tank.
2) Battleing a boss/mini boss in a mushroom kingdom doomship and maybe having like 1 minute to escape from the explodeing doomship.
3) A map system like super mario bros 3 and as i emailed you a few months ago hammer bro toads wandering the map screen.
4) Since everyone except Mario is dead there should be more bosses like princess daisy or Geno (super mario RPG)
5) And finally, giving the koopalings a role of importance.
Please respond and tell me what you think.

I was thinking of something like the tank levels, there will certainly be slow scrolling levels of some kind.
I don't know about escaping, I really hate time limits in video games.
I'm not sure about the hammertoads. It really depends what type of map system I end up using. It will be more complicated than the first game's point and click to be sure.
Naw, just Mario this time. Playing something of a Dr. Robotnik role.
The Koopalings will definitely be in there. They're so much better than Bowser Jr.

I'm back with more ideas!
1)Mario could fight you at one ppoint in a tank with 2 turrets and a fireball machinegun, and to beat him you have to ride on the bullet bills from the lowest turret and ride them into the weapons. The machinegun takes 1 bullet bill, the middle cannon takes 3 and the lowest one takes 5.
2) Item houses that give you 1 of 3 items (Or if you have a brick power up you could knock the shyguy helping you out with it and take all 3 items).
3) Maybe you could put in warp whistles or add a totally secret world like going inside mario's mind.
And for music you could use ParagonX9-polar240 for snowy levels.
For scarey levels you could use Axe murderer and for the final showdown you could use newgrounds rumble BGM3.
I will post another comment or email you if i have anymore ideas. Bye.

Some of your ideas are a little too specific, I think I can figure out how much health I want the bosses to have on my own. Some links for the music selections would be nice too. Thanks.

make a koopa kid, bowser, and bowser jr power up
koopa kid is twice as fast
Bowser like a star power
bowser jr is 3 times as fast and can throw slude balls from a brush to slow down enimie

I was thinking a little more generic with the powerups.

I just wondered, what sort of role are the koopalings going to have, and also maybe you could put in levels that are 100% underground.

The koopalings' role remains a secret for now. And yes, there will be underground levels.

I have had another idea for a boss. At the end of world 1 (or any world) Mario attacks koopa in his (mario's) Koopa crusher 8000. It is basically a pair of llegs and a cockpit for mario to sit in. Koopa must avoid mario as he jumps around and when mario throws out a bob-omb kick it back and it will knock the koopa crusher 800 over and you can jump on mario. You decide the health if you use the idea.

I think something is wrong with the alpha because it says it is under extreme load at the moment. Are you updating it because that would be sweet.

I wish. You can't update Alphas. NG.Mag is a piece of crap.

And it's not working on any Alpha right now.

(or at least a kamek power up) the last one is a goomba

also for music put in devilwent down to georgia.

finaly a power up the mask power up gives you 4 HP if you get hurt the mask changes color (from red black yellow green)

3 I think I know what you're talking about now, but it seems esoteric and a little bit nuts.

The shoe sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure if I'll use it or not.
I think I'll pass Tanooki (on the lefthand side) it went well with the raccoon Mario but it won't with winged koopa.
I'm thinking about P-wing, if it's not an item in the game it will be a cheat.
The cloud used to skip levels in SMB3? I don't think so, it'll be more of a SMW style map. Or if you just mean riding in it during levels, maybe.
Yoshi is your enemy. Riding Birdo has been suggested though.
