How much programming left to do for koopa 2?
Also i have had some ideas for koopa 2 again.
1) Conveyer belts(you can guess what they do)
2) spring platforms that send koopa high into the air
3) platfoms that fall when you jump on them like smb3's "donut platforms".
4) A mini mushroom(green with purple stipes) that makes koopa eally tiny so he can enter small places to secrets where shell spinning wouldn't be a possibility.

6) Finally an enemy i thought of is a grappler that looks leke a square with a spike on top and underneath and two arms and i arm is a chain it swings with, the other drops bombs. Anything but jumps beats them but they are usally out of koopa's reach, so...wanna use it?
And some questions.
1) will thwomps only be found in castles like in smw?
2) Any levels in a bee hive (bees from URMRGAY).
3)sjustin..when you said you can jump over the flagpole i spent HALF AN HOUR trying to pull it off, then i saw mcsm studios response. Well i didn't fall for the ricked n rolled everyone is talking about but i fell for this, good one.
4) Any ghost houses infested by boos (you don't have 2)
5) And finnaly i must ask, have you ever played resident evil 4 because ni completed it(no joke).
P'S could you link to the training level, i NEED more koopa 2 related stuff!

I'm at about the same level of programming I was at a few weeks ago. I've been bouncing around to other projects a bit lately. Can'r let AKR2 get too boring.
1) If I can find a good place, they'd be easy to program and animate.
2) Definitely, I'm debating whether to have them movable like in SMW though.
3) They're already programmed in.
4) I've already decided against miniizing, it's just too much hassle for not much payoff.
5) A big piston? Maybe, but I like thwomps better, and they do almost the same thing.
6) It's to complicated methinks. I'm gonna stick with simple platformer enemies.
And some answers:
1) Probably, but it's too early to say. I can't really rule on this until all the levels are done.
2 ) I didn't even think of that, we'll have to wait and see.
3) I'll make that look a little better in th efinsihed game.
4) There will be ghost houses, and they will be very, very scary.
5) Have not played it but I'd like too.
The training level is really boring, trust me.

Eatemupstudios, when I said jump OVER the flagpole... well... let me explain:

As usual, I shell jumped over it, but the time when Koopa was supposed to grab the flag, (as he was going over it), he magically appeared on top of it.

A good easter egg for AKRII would be that one of the alternative exits of some levels could be you having to jump over the flagpole. Either that, or you get an 1-up instead.

That doesn't really work when you can fly.

I'm thinking something more epic.

of course mario will have 2 stand up afterevery hit

Hey please tell me you are going to use short movies in the game (In the rick roll u made right before the rick roll) and also in the final battle there isanother thing i want to say how about this mario apears and summons master hand and crazy hand and controls them with chains of light u fill in the rest okay? this is grandmasterchaotix out.

I don't know about short movies in the game. It would be cool, but all it would really do in the end is delay the game. The hands work well in smash bros but I don't think they'd do well in as a platformer boss.

Hi again, i have more hopefully good ideas.

2) A boss idea is a globe with fireball machiene guns (the projectiles move at half of koopa's running speed) and it can cause earth tremors. You hurt it by throwing a fireball into it's "face) or jumping on it when it slowly flips 360 degrees and it's face is upwards.
3) You could use these enemies.
3a) Chain Chomp
3b) nipper plants
3c) pokeys
3d) skeeters.

1) I like it, and I'd use it if I was making a metroid game. But in a Mario game it doesn't fit.
2) I think it would need to change up it's tactics as the fight when on to not get boring.
3) Maybe, but I'd need to make good guy versions of them for koopa to fight.

ok so i didnt comment anyway for few days except checking every day just to let you know. i have an idea i dont know if you will use it or not. since there are toadlets that look like toad goombas i tought if there was a karate toad. a normal toad with karate skills. white clothes weakness any kind. any power like hammer bro and dry bones can hit karate toad.

Define Karate skills. How would this guy move that's different from regualr toads?

It's a possibility. Though if I do it it will only be bowser's head on Koopa.

Hi again, i have more half baked ideas.
1) Now i know you may be tired of me suggesting to use bristles but i have thought of what they could do. Normal ones ( <a href="http://papermario.wikia.com/wiki/Bristle">http://papermario.wikia.com/wiki/Bris tle</a> ) can patrol certain set paths and if koopa gets close they extend their spikes instantly. But dark bristles however hile they will patrol set paths if they see koopa they will spin after him endlesssly unless they fall down a hole. Because spikes are all over their body jumps don't work and they are imune to fire, can't be hurt by lightining and shell slides only flip them upsidedown for a few seconds, but hammers and bones CAN hurt them or a touch when invincable. They are only found in castles. I geuss at this point i am rambling but i must say that they are in fact not on mario's side OR bowsers side. They attack anything in the games.
2) Mario statues like the bowser statues in smw that spit fire.
3) A boss could be a computer that can send out electric bolts and swings it's mouse up close. It can't be harmed by fire due to it's firewall. 6 jumps beat it.

8) An enemy i have thought of is a mermario that is like a mermaid with a low quality mario mask. The green tailed ones try wacking koopa with their trident, but the blue red tailed ones shoiot fireballs (fire does work underwater in mario games.

10) Finnaly, A good level theme would be a level filled with thwomps, thwimps, wimps and pimps..heh heh.

Maybe PC, but not until a while after it's out. And there's no way I can have it downloadable for Wii. Maybe playable online, but not downloadable.

Can u put multiplayer in Koopas revenge 2

I did some experiments with simultaneous multiplayer. Sorta like Sonic and Tails but it didn't work out. And turn based multiplayer seems a bit useless.

about the wii it would be nearly impossible because wee uses the opera broser with flash 6 and no java :(
and u dont have a key board. YOu will need to make a whole different game for the wii =/

I'm pretty sure it's Flash 7. If it is 6 then there's absolutely no way to do it because the game is made with AS2 and Flash 6 only suppports AS1. I could however export the game in AS2 and Flash 7.
There are ways of converting wiimote button presses to keypresses for Flash to understand them.

btw theres some wierd glitch. it doesnt happen alot tough. when shooting a fire ball at an enemy he gets burned and the fire ball keeps bouncing at same spot.

Yeah, I've seen it too. But until I can figure out what's causing it, I can't fix it.

1) You mean boulder levels? I think I'm going to avoid that, they're actually very limiting in what you can do.
2) Maybe, they would probably be in castles.
4) Just one, and bits for other stuff. All the coding needs to be done first. If it isn't I could change something that would have enormous effects on other parts of the game.
5) So far, just walking around. They're like Rex from SMW.
