1) For a castle enemy try pinwheels. They attack by spinning their 8 spikes like a....pinwheel. You could marioize them by adding non serious angry expressions or coulour them red. They could stay in one spot, move up or down or left or right or in circles. You seem to be just throwing everything at me. I also want to avoid the use of RPG enemies.

I will try to suggest less things for my comments now. This time i am suggesting enemy's for volcano's
1) Podoboos and podoboo chains

2) A new enemy for ghost houses could be mutilated hands that are in small ground level archways. You could do a scene of a normal toad getting dragged into the bars by the first encoutered hand and it getting it's head ripped off and thrown out.
3) I have thought of 3 new level themes. They are angry sun, battleship and minecart.
4) I think in tank levels the tanks should be red because mario presumalbly made them and his favourite and signiture colour is red.

1) Hmmm. It may be a little too cartoony. I really want the ghost houses to be legitimately scary. Not just spooky like in Scooby Doo.
2) Sounds like a Wallmaster. I am considering taking enemies form other Nintendo games though. So far I think I'm using Octoroks and Metroids. Plus I'm not going to do little scenes like that. this is purely an oldskool platformer.
3) The angry sun isn't so much a theme as it is an addition to the desert. Not so sure about a battleship, but I have decided that not all castles will be castles, like one will be a pyramid, stuff like that.
4) Maybe a red accent colour, but not entirely red. Also, it'll probably just be one or two tank levels at the end of the game.

also you could add toamps (toad chomp). a chomp with a toad top head thing (you know what i mean)

I'm not so sure about Chomps. They certainly make the games harder, but they don't really add to the fun factor.

More ideas.
1) When i suggested dirt daggers i meant like smw mega moles that are always underground like in vally of bowser level 1.

5) The ! blocks aren't associated with just one power-up in this game. Anything can potentially come out.

then make the toamps a level 1 boss or any level boss. only 3 heads on its head. all it does it runs around.... (jump over it) then it gets tired for a while. then you get chance to jump on it. when you hit on its head two times already the toamp goes red with mad and start running faster..

1) Tilting mushrooms.

Too late. I already replaced buzzy beetles with some thing I call fungi beetles.
