Will Koopa 2 have medals ?

I dunno. I'd have to talk to Tom about getting Medal implementation. I kinda hope it will get Medals.

nice video I LUUUVV HAPPY HARRY Lol

Don't we all. And let's not forget Oney with our LUUUVV.

Awesome! Hope this one's better than the first, which was really good.

I hope so too.

Awesome! I want to play this game so much more now! The map is really neat, are they in space or something?
However, I do have a critique. The noise made when you go down a pipe sounds about the same as the one were you lose your shell. And it sounds a little rushed, the original pipe sound was slower. But other than that, it's great. Love how Koopa looks on the map, too.

No, it's not space, the stars are reflected off the ocean.
It's the same sound as in the old Mario games.

Oh, was that the night map? And will you upload another video? Please? You're increasing my want for this game!

Your wish is my command.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur G4XhDelSc

I can't find the video on youtube, and the address doesn't seem to work. Is there anything specific I should search for to reach it? Also, more ideas for part of the final boss.
1.Mario makes his hat grow to gigantic size, and flies it around the screen. Shoots missiles, fireballs, etc.
2.Mario rides the Yoshi King. Yoshi King can spit out Hammer Toads and Sledge Toads now, but won't charge with Mario on him. Sometimes Mario will summon a bunch of random enemies. Other times, he will summon a black Koopa shell, with the Mario "M" on it. It has a propeller, and will bounce around the room. Jump on it, and it will turn into a regular shell. Pick it up, and throw it at Yoshi King to knock Mario off. You can shell slide if you have a shell instead. Yoshi King will get mad, and charge repeatedly, before Mario gets back on. Do your normal form of attacking him. Mario will get back on. Rinse and repeat.
Enemy ideas:
1.Yoshitrol. A Yoshi covered in armor and spikes. You can't jump on it this way, but it will try to jump on you. It will land on its head, and you can jump on it. Then it becomes a regular Yoshi. It's immune to fire. Alternately, you can hit it with 3 bones, or shell slide into it.
Powerup Idea
Koopatrol powerup. It's an expanded version of the brown shell. It makes you immune to spikes, fireballs, and firebars. Not lava or enemies, though.

2. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/66115

When you copy and paste the url you need to get rid of the space newgrounds puts in it. Or you can get to it through my Youtube channel, mcsmstudios.
1. Hats can't shoot missiles.
2. Well, the Yoshi King is going to be a bit of a secret, so I can't put him in the main game.
eneimes
1. A little too complicated to kill. An enemy like that would probably just be avoided by the player. Nothing can really take multiple shots to kill without a noticable reaction visually. If you tried to hit it three whole times it would likely kill you in that time.
Powerups are pretty much permanent at this point. And a shell that offers nothing but immunities would be fairly useless.
Music:
1. Just plain wrong. I can't imagine a Mario game with this music on the menu.
1. Hmmmmmm. Really, really close. Can't quite put my finger on why I don't want to use this one. You're on the right track though.
2. Feels cheap. And kinda slapped together.

Oh, I forgot. What feel do you want to get from the Switch Palace Music? It will help me figure out what to look for.

Whenever I play the switch palaces the bonus song from SMW plays in my head.

Wow. That video makes me want the game even more. Please hurry!!!
By the way, that wizard looks really cool. Who is he? (I know you probably won't tell, but still.) I predict a Mario in disguise. And I can see why you chose him over Toadek.

On another note, what do you mean the Yoshi King is a secret? Is he on that little island with the "S" on it in desert world?

That's all!

The Yoshi King is hidden throughout the worlds. Defeating him gives you a special reward.
SwithcPalace:
1. Don't really like this one. Too slow, and this may just be me personally, but that synth clapping is jus irritating. Anyway I'd rather not use the exact song, just something like it.
2. Also too slow. Needs to be more upbeat.
Boss: Too deserty, and kinda slow paced RPG boss theme.

I've changed my prediction. The wizard is... Toadsworth! Also, I think his robes should be red, not blue. Cause, Kamek's robes are blue, and Mario's color is red. What do you think?

All magikoopas' robes are blue. That's all I'm gonna say.

That's a magikoopa!!! What? Not a magitoad!?! Why did you have to say that! Please hurry! I can't stand waiting. But, wait I have to.

That's not exactly what I said.

Ghost:
1. Not bad, but kinda minimal, and those pauses were a little offputting.
2. Kinda long for what it is. Pretty good though. May or may not end up in the game depending on what direction I take with the ghost houses.
Sky Day:
1. I get a bit too much of a chilly vibe from this one, the sky song will apply to mushroooms too, so it wouldn't work. It's also kinda slow.
2. A little too techno. Though for the sky techno isn't so bad. Just not this technoish.
Bonus satge :
1. Not quite right It just needs to be quicker. Maybe later I'll release a video of the switch palaces.
Volcano Day:
1. Started out promising but I just don't think it will work.

Eatemupstudios, yeah, I know about the bonus stages being scrapped. I meant Switch Palace, just wrote the wrong thing. Oops.

I knew what you meant so all is well.

Medal Ideas:
1. Truce: Beat a level without killing anything. 10 points. (Tutorial doesn't count.)
2. Strength in Numbers: Unlock and beat a level with every character. 15 points. (Is shy guy a playable character?)
3. Pharoah's Curse: Beat the secret desert level. Since I don't know what it is, you decide point value.
4. Professional Explorer: Unlock all secrets. 30 points.

Boss Idea:

Trash Can
The wizard magics up a bag of trash, which hops in a can. There are two platforms floating over the arena that you can get on. In round one, it has a few attacks. It can jump up and ground pound, which causes spike waves to pop up. It can shoot a bouncing spike ball. (Like Wendy O' Koopa's attack.) Or it can shoot a Greg-egg. You have to pick up the greg-egg and throw it at the boss. The bag will pop out of the can, and run around. Jump on it. It will get back in the can. It gets a new attack: It can throw out an anvil, which will stun you if you're on the ground when it lands. Rinse and repeat, and knock the bag out. It can now try to jump on you, and will throw out anvils occasionally. Hit it, and it jumps back in the can. The can gets rockets, and flies up into the air. It has all it's old attacks, and can shoot out a fireball that will fall through the floor. Eventually, it will get mad, and shoot three greg-eggs out. It will then start bouncing up and down on the floor. (Think round three of the SMW Bowser fight.) Pick up a greg-egg, and hit it. The bag will fly out, and start bouncing around the room, on fire. Don't touch it. It will drop fireballs behind it. Eventually it will crash. It will shoot out three spike balls, and bounce around the room, occasionally throwing out anvils. Hit it one last time to win!

How about those?

Medals:
1. Might work, but in Ghost Houses there aren't many defeatable enemies. It would suck if I had to excliude some levels from this. Still a good idea though.
2. So far just Koopa and Goomba are playable characters. But it wouldn't be hard to include more if the only difference was how they look.
3. Individual secret levels could get medals, but if I can come up with enough more interesting one I'd give this a pass.
4. This one would obviously be a medal.

Boss:
A garbage can might work, but I probably wouldn't use most of your details.

I liked koopas old cute much better why did you change it? PS will you find bowser in this game?

Koopa's old cute? What? You will find Bowser.

whops forgot too type look

And yet you still didn't clarify. lol

world 6 boss idea a oven to beat it wait for a red shell get it climb up the platforms hit the red spots (3 in all) hit the side ones then the core the oven bakes a lava cookieand explodes ps the oven has a tornadeo in it and its a monster the weakness is on its head the lava cookie atacks! to beat is shell slide into it with a fire dash sheld it has 3 legs then wait for a red shell again climb up the platforms wait for a fire bomb to come hit it with fire pick it up with the button used for fire throw it at the ball over its head with the fire button do this 3 times wait a sec before you can get a fire shell from the lava cookie after hiting the legs it will use a lazer beam jump on the lazers balls at the back where the lazer is comeing from 2 times hit it then do it 4 times then 6 times thats all its past my bed time

Seems a bit too complicated for a 2D platformer. Besides, shell sliding can't be a requirement for beating a boss because you don't always have a shell.

Wow, I'm liking the gameplay. :P

Merci.

Okay, so although bonus level's are out, secret levels are still in, right? Here's an idea for one in the forest. Because some games have "easter eggs", that's the theme for this level. It has peep-cheeps, which are marshmallow peeps brought to life. They jump around. One hit to kill. There are also giant versions, which spit out greg eggs. There are a lot of greg-eggs in the level, too. Also, there are egg cannons. At the end, you fight a giant robotic bunny, holding a hammer. It floats on a platform high above you. It will hit egg missiles towards you, which bounce around the room. It will also hit greg-eggs at you. There is an egg plant in the corner, which will occasionally spit out an egg. If you don't grab it in time, it will hatch into a yoshi. Pick it up, and ricochet it into the robo-rabbit. 5 eggs to kill.

Also, if you wanted a hilarious ending idea, here's how it would go:
You defeat Mario, and rescue Ludwig Von Koopa. You've beaten the game! Now, collect all the Bowser Coins. Beat Mario again, too get the real ending. You then find out that Bowser wasn't ever kidnapped. He's been in Peach's castle, which he lifted into the sky to capture her. Mario wakes up, and thinks kidnapping Bowser is a great idea. He jumps off with his army to the castle. Koopa heads there too. The final level is now unlocked. You head to the top of peach's castle. At the top, you find Bowser. But, when you tell him you killed Peach, he get's mad, and tries to kill you! Yes, the final boss is Bowser. You figure out what to do from there, for the fight. When you win, there are two options for the ending. 1. Mario appears, and kidnaps the unconscious Bowser for real, setting up a Koopa 3. (I prefer the first one.) 2. When you win, Bowser is still awake. Mario jumps up, and Bowser punches him off the tower, thus killing him and ending the series. Or, if you like the second one better, it could still turn out he's not dead, thus setting up Koopa 3. (You might notice I'm a big supporter of a Koopa 3 to come out.

Medal Ideas: Underachiever: Beat Mario without getting any other medals. 50 points. (I know it's your idea, I just added a name.)
Tough Koopa: Beat the game without ever getting a game over. 100 points.
Super Koopa: Beat the game without dieing. 150 points.
Ultimate Koopa: Beat the game without ever getting hit. (Falling in pits counts as getting hit.) 250 points.
Cheapskate: Use an exploit on a boss. 25 points. (Could someone tell me what the exploit is?)
Frozen Shell: Get the white shell. 25 points.
Yoshi Slayer: Beat all the Yoshi King Fights. 50 points.

Okay, here's one more idea. When you beat a secret level, you unlock a character. Have a bunch of secret levels. Here are some other characters: Petey Piranha, Monty Mole, and that Dragon thing from the first level of SMW. Oh, and if you beat a boss without getting hit, you get to play as the Koopaling you rescue, but only in that world. Each Koopaling would have special powers. But, they can't collect extra shells, take three hits to kill, and with the exception of Wendy O', Lemmy, and Ludwig, shoot magic bolts from their wands. Now, special powers.
Larry: When shell sliding, can jump while still in the shell.
Morton Jr.: Can shake the ground and stun enemies when he jumps.
Wendy O' : Can shoot her bouncing rings.
Iggy: Moves faster, and has and when he reaches top speed, becomes invincible.
Lemmy: Rides his ball, bounces the other balls, his usual stuff.
Roy: Takes 5 hits to kill, and shakes the ground.
Ludwig Von: Has the powers of Larry, Morton Jr., Iggy, and Roy. Can also double jump, and breathe huge blasts of fire. (Like Koopa in the first game, except longer and wider.

Okay, I have way too many ideas, but I think thats it. Still, I should probably find some music, so here goes:

Switch Palace:
1. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/248697
2.

Bonus levels are gone, secret levels are in, but they won't get their own themes, sorry. Just too much more work to do on a game that's already overloaded.

That endings a bit long, eh? I've got a basic story figured out now, still subject to change though.

Medals:
Underachiever: nice name, but it's just unfair to have a medal you only get one chance at collecting.
Tough Koopa: Not bad, but it would probably result in a lot of saving and loading after every death. Not to mention it's hard to keep track of game overs because you have to reload your save when you get one.
Super Koopa: I think the games a wee bit too long for this one. It's a ridiculous goal, especially considering how difficult the later levels will become.
Ultimate Koopa: See last, only moreso.
Cheapskate: I don't think I'd like to encourage that sort of behaviour.
Frozen shell: The name doesn't amke sense, but it's a bit too simple to get one.
Yoshi Slayer: What I said to Eatemup a few comments up.

Some of those ideas conflict with elements already in the game, sorrys.

Switch Palace: Mgiht be too intense. Also has that techno start where the song doesn't reall start until more than half a minute in.

When is out Koopa 2 and where is the new your post?

I really can't say when Koopa 2 will be out. Depends greatly on my motivation. Haven't made any news posts because there really hasn't been anything to report on.
