Oh okay I just want to know how koopa 2 is doing.Honestly I prefer 2-D games rather than 3-D because the controls seem more precise,but aren't you worried that koopa 2 will not find an audience because of a few 2-D games coming out? P.S. By 2-D games I mean New super mario bros. Wii and Super meat boy that are coming soon.

99% of Flash games are 2D, it shouldn't be a problem.

Boss idea.
1) Mario could magic a toaster into a boss that has a spring for a foot, a toaster body, a small head with red eyes ,and spiked spinning toast for arms. It attacks by jumping around and stomping which causes some of the ceiling to fall down on the edges of the areana. It can also shoot out flaming toast from it's chest and use it's toast discs as boomerangs. To make it vunerable koopa must either grab a peice of toast that isn't flaming and throw it back at the boss or shell slide into the spring, doing wither of these knocks the boss over and leaves it vunerable to jumping. It takes 6 jumps to beat it.
Maybe you could make a boss out of 1 of the following
1) A fishing bobber
2) A gramaphone
3) A roll of toilet paper
4) A teapot
5) A blowtorch

7) Wedding ring

I knew you wasn't dead.
1) Well that's way too recognisable, and kinda crappy. Like a SNES version of the song. The song I have now better suits what I'm planning, but if the boss changes the song will probably change too.
2) 1. Perhaps a little intense. And it takes a while to get into it. A lot of the time you're going to be popping into a cave for a few seconds, and I want the song to be more instantaneous. 2. Really not Mario like. I can think of a dozen diferent games this is better suited for.
3) I'm not sure about a swamp theme, I'm still leaning towards candy land. There's a lot of things I could do for a swamp graphically, but in terms of gameplay possibilities Candy Land outclasses it. 1. Kinda creepy, aswell as slow to start. 2. Interesting piece, but I don't think it's right for the game. Very much intense.
4) Too techno.
5) 1. Interesting, nice loop. But it lacks the energy required. 2. Again, an intense one, but really not what is needed. I might want to keep this one around if I ever make a Castlevania ripoff. 3. Not bad, but not inspiring. The castles will probably not be castles for the most part.
Boss:
Toaster isn't a bad idea. I would probably make the vulnerablility just jumping on exposed toast though.
1) A little simple.
2) It's been done.
3) See 1.
4) Might work. But I fear it will remind people of Beauty and the Beast.
5) Can't really do much more than shoot fire.
6) I can't see how that would translate to AKR.

1) Condemmed prison.
2) Bee hive (since it can't be used for a normal level or a world then it could be a one off level).
3) Inside an alarm clock or super computer
4) A birthday cake (for candy land)
5) An igloo
You could make a boss out of any of the following:-
1) Playstation
2) A saxaphone or some musical instrument
3) A book
5) Dog house
6) Chainsaw
7) Phone
8) A bag of marbles
9) Baby bottle top
10) Rubber duck

1) 1. It's almost right, but a bit too intense, and I get the sense of almost militarism. Can't really describe it. It's also a little too dynamic. 2. Not really happy enough, plus it's a little on the long side. And there's that really intense beat in there near the end that really doesn't fit with Mario.
2) 1. I don't know how to criticise this. It's not bad, but the instrument choice doesn't work for the game. 2. I was optimistic until that dance baet came in. Then I pretty much gave up on it. 3. Too much building up to work for a 2D platformer. Plus that voice just totally ruins it's chances.
3) I think just about any banjo song is too recognisable. Though it does sound very "fat." Slow and low. 2. Not the worst, but it seems to take a while to startup and even then it doesn't go much of anywhere. Close but no cigar. 3. Too much of a medieval sound, and too epic. Not even really all that fat.
(I think you did better for #3, at least teh first two songs, because you tried to find something matching my descriptions rather than just searching for keywords that might match up.)
1) That could work, though it'd be a little simple.
2) Makes sense to put it in a candyland. I'll probably do that now.
3) An alarm clock could work, but computers don't really have many moving parts.
4) Meh, could use cakes in the world somewhere but not as the castle.
5) Maybe if I can't think of somethign more interesting for ice world.
Bosses:
1) Kinda simple and too partisan.
2) Bagpipes woul probably be the most interesting boss instrument.
3) Two words. Bo-ring.

6) I think they should be things you wouldn't use as a weapon.
7) Phones can do a lot of things, but most of those things won't hurt you.
8) To much effort to animate it.

10) Interestingly enough, in a game I was amking some years ago I planned for one of the bosses to be a rubber duckie.

Ideas for the candy land theme.
Obstacles:-
1) Marshmallows that act as unstable platforms
2) Waffles that act as rafts like in SMW
3) Lava could be replaced by hot chocloate
4) water could be replaced by soda (you could make an above water level called soda falls with an idea like this) but it could also be cola.
5) Jelly beans that can be picked up and thrown (like the vegetables in SMB2)
6) Part of the terrain could be ice cream, it acts like ice but comes in 3 flavours, strawberry, vannila and chocolate.
7) Frozen blocks could be replaced by chocolate blocks
8) Ladders could be made out of licourice.
9) Warp pipes could be red and white like a candy cane.
10) Donut blocks could be real donuts

1) I'm not gonna lie, I'm probably too lazy to code "unstable platforms."

3) Hot chocolate is too hard to convey visually. How would you know what it is?
4) I think soda would work better as lava, with it's bubblyness and such.

1) 1. Too calm, candy land is a place of fun. 2. A little more enrgy here, but nothing like Mario music. 3. Started off promising but got a little too dancey. This is one for the maybe pile.
2) 1. Not bad entirley, but it's just too recognisable. 2. Kinda simple, and might even be a little too fast. 3. Way way way too calm. Very ironic name for this song.

whats the progress of the game now?

Not great, still halfway through world 2. But I'm working on four games right now.

Ideas and questions about the yoshu king.
Question
1) Since the yoshi king gains a new attack in every fight will he use that attack and all preceding ones in each fight or will he use the new one and his first one in each fight. If the latter the last fight could be him using all previous attacks.
2) Will the yoshi king be battled in world 8, since you free a koopaling after every fight and there are only 7 koopalings so the last fight could be in the room before the final boss as mario's last line of defence.
Attack ideas.
1) He could use his crown as a boomerang. It could be thrown, hit the wall and rebound and knock him over and reveal his weak spot.
2) He could flutter up and fly above koopa and crash down on him.
3) He could breathe fire at close range or set parts of the ground on fire with fireballs.
4) He could lay eggs that hatch into normal yoshi's, he can lay up to 3 at once (better for a later fight).

Answers:
1) He uses all his preceding attacks. I'm not sure why you would think it otherwise.
2) The Yoshi King is sort of a secret, so he can't pop up in a madatory fight. 7 Fights only.
Attacks:
1) Only one attack will reveal his weakspot, thoguh I do like crown throwing, like DKC.
2) That's already a planned attack.
3) Firebreath sounds cool.
4) I don't think so. Maybe Greg-Eggs.
Musak
1) Kinda cool. Maybe a little too intense. And it doesn't loop well.
2) Also cool, but too epic. This encounter is a little sillier.
3) Sounds pretty fat, but there's just something offputting about it. Sounds almost alien.
4) Pretty nice, I like it, but not for this.
5) Not bad, but it doesn't have that X factor.
6) Reminds me of like 8 different games at once, among them Megaman X and Battletoads. this one is also too epic, this fight will be mostly funny.
Overall good music suggestions this time, any of these would get 3 stars, but I don't think any of them stand out in the right way.
