Some of you may know I've been planning to release some big news for AKRII. Well, this is that news. I've got some good news, and some bad news.
First the bad news. I'm cutting a lot out of the game. World's 4-7 will be condensed into two smaller worlds. The forest and ice world's are being combined into a forested snowy mountain, and the volcano world is being cut entirely. The Yoshi King mini-boss fights have also been cut, they would have been a real pain to test.
The good news is that because of those cuts, the game will be done MUCH sooner. I reduced the total number of levels that needed to be made from 17 to 7. The remianing levels will be more varied, so I should get less level-designer's-block when making them. I'm aiming for a release on the fifth anniversary of AKR1's release in January.
The progress. World 3 is now completely done. All four levels, the boss, and the switch palace. The first level of the mountain world is also completed (It was originally for the first world but was too hard)
I'll be updating the music post shortly to reflect the cuts.

ive been looking for it the whole game :/ and i mean loads of levels and worlds.. before it was 80 levels and 8 worlds. then 40 lvls and 7 worlds.. now its 5 worlds?

Oh, I'm sorry, let's see the dozens of levels Flash based platform game you made all by yourself. Just for that, you don't get to play the game at all when it comes out. :p
