One level to go.

Finally got that airship done. Took a lot of work. Needed to make new enemies, backgrounds, and scrolling mechanics. The boss was quite animation intensive too. Next stop, Mario's Castle, the final full length level. Hell, it will probably end up being a huge level.

Well, this looks awesome. I went back over some of my old comments recently, and man, I was a lunatic! But this looks awesome, I really can't wait for this game. So, are you going to tell us who the airship boss is, now that he's done? If so, WHO IS HE?

See, there's a hint of the old me peeking through again. In fact, I'm even going to bribe you with more music.

I'm going to keep the boss a secret. The game needs to keep a bit of mystery I followed the Super Smash Bros. Brawl website closely before release, and when the game came out, there were no surprises. I don't want that to happen to you guys.

1. Not perfect, but I like it a lot better than what I'm using now. If I make the level really dark it would work better. 3/5
2. Not crazy about the intro. Overall I like it but, there's one instrument in there that doens't feel right. 2/5
3. Annoying, and a little too cheery. Though I am goingto be a bit more lenient on Mario remixes.

The song is too memorable from Sonic 3. Even if it wasn't, it's too circusy. Better to post one decent suggestion than a ton of crap ones, though.

Do you finished World 5?

Not yet.

I won't do a video until maybe during beta-testing. Like a launch tralier or something. I don't want to give the whole game away before it's out.

Map Night:
1. Doesn't really fit with the Mario vibe. :(
2. I"m trying to avoid chiptunes mostly. This one's not bad, but it's a bit slow. A faster version of this might work. :|
3. Seems a wee bit too recognisable, aswell as too gothic sounding. Pass. :|
4. Doesn't Feel general enough to work. If I was doing one song pre map screen per world, this would be good for a darker themed world maybe. :|
5. I really like this piece as a map music, just not for Koopa 2. Feels too specific. :|

Final Castle: Certainly suspenseful, but I'm actually looking for something more active and energetic. The level is turning out mostly hectic, and not so much forboding. :|

Boss Fight:
1. Seems a bit too epic. I sort of have a plan for the final boss music, so this can't be for regular bosses. It's also too orchestral sounding. :(
2. Seems pretty on the intense side. And doesn't suit the fast paced platformer boss fights too well. :|

1. Doesn't really feel right. Can't put my finger on it. :|
2. There isn't much too this one. Its also a bit optimistic. Ideally Iwant the night music to be active, with a sense of danger, kind of like Vanilla Dome from SMW, only not that song itself. :|
Final Castle: I like it. It kind of has the mysterious quality to it. :)
Boss Fight: Too medieval. Doesn't fit with the theme of the game. :(
Ending/Credits: Meh. I think the credits music might end up being another song from the game, possibly the menu or bonus stage songs.

Nah, doesn't match the tone of the game. Plus I'm personally a bit sick of that song.

Night Map:
1. Reminds me too much of caves. And there's also too much tension. :|
2. It's all just too much. Sounds like the world is coming to an end. :|
3. I like the length. But I think it feels too evil. :|
4. Better feel to this one. But it seems a bit too varied. Still the Best night map theme so far. :]
5. Meh, kinda felt like I was waiting for it to get started the entire time. Needs to be more dynamic :|

Boss: Too epic and too familiar. I can't hear this without imagining bowser trying to jump on Mario. :|
Ghost House: It's cool, but it's just too familiar. It also doesn't fit the Ghost Houses all that well. This one might be too dynamic.

It's hard to say what style I want. It's more the feel of the music. It should say, get ready this is going to be awesome. But at the same time needs to be something that says Super Mario.

Every time I get 5 more facebook fans I add 5 more screenshots. Percents are pretty useless. IT's somewhere between 80% and 98% depending on whether you count just the length of the game, or also testing and whatnot.

I really look forward this. I played "A Koopa's Revenge" five years ago and I'm still waiting for the sequel... go for it!
