Just a quick comment. When you finish drawing more enemies you could update the news post with them, i would like to see the dirt diggers, ccould you describe them.

It's too much of a pain to update with more pictures, but I'm thinking of doing a post about the music that I will update frequently.

lol at name change

Glad someone noticed.

How about an Omega Piranha Shroom for a boss you know like petey piranha only thing shroom like

Sherman Shroom. A potential miniboss.

What will play as a koopa other than the fungi beetle in A Koopas Revenge 2

Technically nothings playing as a koopa. Nothing can slide around like a koopa shell aside from Koopa himself.

can there be a WEEGEE boss? he stares at you... he makes you lose your powers.. then your shell then you die. the koopa must not look in weegee's evil eyes. 3 jumps 3 fireballs 2 Bones/hammers

I will be including some memes and references, but nothing that blatant.

oh and that reminds me... this is for you "squished" yoshi. YOU GO SQUISHED OUT!

I think a mushroom-like Boo could be a good enemy for the game...

I'm going to give the Boos mustaches. There's probably too much mushroom stuff already.

Brilliant boss idea.
Mario turns an alarm clock into a monster invunerable to all koopas attacks. But it can be harmed a different way.
It has a fast spinning arrow that spins and when it stops on one section one of these things will happen.
Toadlet picture) 5 red spotted toadlets appear, they must be killed for the fight to advance.
Pirahna shroom picture) the areana flips upside down so pipes are on the ground and 3 pirahna shrooms come out of 3 random pipes 3 times.
bullet egg picture) Bullet eggs fly in from thr sides of the areana.
dolphin picture) Water floods the areana and 3 dolphins and 2 sharky the whales swim about for 12 seconds.
Fungi beetle picture) 3 fungi beetles and 2 spiny shrooms appear and must be killed for the fight to progress.
Clock picture) The boss takes damage. The spinner must land on this 3 times for the battle to be won.
What do you think?

Kind of reminds me of the Dumb Drum from DKC. It's got some good elements, but the boss needs to be damaged in a more interactive way. The spinning mechanism isn't fair to speed-runners.

P.S. The spiny shrooms can't be killed by an unshelled koopa so the boss as you described it couldn't work.

are you going to make the yoshis like the other koopa revenge 1, like a red yoshi isn't harmed by fire and such

Consdiering it, but with a wider array of enemies for this game I probably won't include it. Say for instance, if I needed a fireproof enemy, I could use a Fungi Beetle.

could you possibly make this for Iphone?

I don't think so.

also about the para goomba idea he will tell the story when beaten the boss.. like in paper mario when finishing a chapter

I want to go very light on story. There might be an opening and closing cinematic, but for the most part it will play like an old Mario game. And I mean old like 1980s.

More ideas.
1) Bonus level or credits music could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/120701.
2) http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/62111could be good for ghost houses
3) Maybe an enemy could be a parody of the clock crew that are mushrooms with clock faces. They attack by jumping and ground pounding.
4) For undrground levels in the desert you could use http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/110537
5) Night time arctic music could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/173089
6) More arctic night time music could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/78346

1) It's pretty good, but I can't see it really fitting in.
2) ERROR - Missing/invalid required "id" parameter.
3) I don't think so. And what's with the ground-pounding? Why should so many enemies ground-pound?
4) Might be good for the pyramid. I'd have to edit it a bit though.
5) It's a little annoying after a loop or two, but it is Mario enough. If I can't find anything better-suited I'll use this.
6) Much too dark. It would work much better in an RTS. I actually like this a lot, but it's totally the wrong fit.

More ideas.
1) You could make the final level something like this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nZBQGHC zV7k (the video starts after the stickman opening)
2) A boss could be a blob of blue tack that split's into two after every hit.
3) Music for a castle could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/121235.

1) So, just like a stage in the normal game only a little harder? It's just a slightly modified version of Bowser's castle in SMB3.
2) I dunno. Bosses that split up when you hit them are a little easy and very cliche.
3) If I used that I might as well use the original song.

birdo with the koopa team? no way! birdo is in the subcon team. and subcon team is against the koopa team. how could they be a koopa and a birdo a team since they are against each other?

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

well if you want a slimy boss you could make a big slimeball which is alive.

Or maybe a snail. More possibilities with a snail.

More ideas.
1) You said there is many possibilities with a snail. Maybe you could use snail enemy's called sneaky snails that slowly move around and can squelch up and down walls. For example, in the previous news post you added a screen shot of koopa in an underground level with two platforms. The sneaky snails could go all the way around. If they are jumped they lose the shell and continue so another jump squishes them.
2) A mini boss could be stanley snail, a snail that acts like normal ones but attacks in the following way. If jumped the first time it retreas into it's shell and rolls around, the second jump breaks the shell and it hurries to a wall. If you don't kill him he will go to the ceiling and spit slime balls down. 3 jumps, 5 fireballs or 2 bones/hammers kills him
3) Good music for night time caves could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/174661

1) I think for that job I'd need to do something like a spike top.
2) I have to clear this up, if anything it should take more hammers to kills something than jumps. It's easy to hit a boss with a hammer, you don't even need to be near it.
3) That's just way too Metroid.

Since you are using bees and i thought my sneaky snail idea was good here are some more garden insect enemy ideas,
1) Rotten roach. It has a spike on it's face and charges at koopa. It can't be jumped on on it's face. It is also imune to fireballs.
2) Spooky spider. A dangerious enemy that can walk up walls and ceilings and moves fast. If it sees koopa it will chase him. They can also do small jumps and jump over small pits. When they havn't spotted koopa their movement is random. Red spooky spiders spit web at koopa if they see him.
3) gluttones grub. An enemy invincable to everything except shell slides. Do it head on and it will swallow koopa and spit him out and die. They can be used as platforms.
4) Forgetful fly. They just fly to and fro and never come down. 1 of anything kills them,
5) Slimy slug. Just like an unarmoured snail except when killed thgey spray slime out in which ever way they where facing.

Yeah, but the bees were in a Mario game. I'm not ruling out more insects, but I'm not inviting them either.

When i previously said how do the enemiesd act i meant do they fly, what are they imune to, that type of thing

More ideas.
1) Music for daytime ice levels could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/180611
2) Music for daytime volcano levels could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/162948 or
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/73877 or
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/96299
3) Music for night time plains could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/94211 , listen to the song a few times and imagine the sound affects to see if it goes because i can see this song working.
4) Night time ice music could be http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/1072
5) A good enemy could be toads in submarines in under water levels that fire torpedo's.

1) I really get more of a space vibe out of this one.
2) 1. It's pretty good, but I don't think it's what I'm looking for. 2. Sonic's 3D Blast, I don't like what they're done with the song. 3. Too intense, play a few fiery levels in some Mario games and listen to the music.
3) It kind of works but there's a bit of Twilight Princess theme music in there that just sorta takes the koopoabilities out of it. I'm having the most trouble finding suitable plains music.
4) There are so many Ice Cap remixes, it's hard to choose just one. I'll probably end up using one for night time ice though.
5) Yellow submarines. Seems like it'd be too big to be a standard enemy.

Next news update could you post pictures of volcano, ice or desert leves though any would be fine.

I haven't actually made any of those yet. I haven't even made the graphics for the terrain.
